In regard to "American Idol," can you write an amusing paragraph or 2 or 3 that includes these phrases?

One day, Jimmy and Joan were just goofing around, singing random bits of song as they walked down the street. Mrs. Hewitt, the little old lady that ran the grocery store, laughed. "You know, you two are pretty good. You should go on that show, that singin' show." Jimmy and Joan stopped and looked at each other. "Could we win?" Jimmy asked. "You know," Joan acknowledged, "we make a pretty good team together... your goofiness and my talent." "Is it possible? Very puzzling," Jimmy reiterated seriously. Mrs. Hewitt laughed again. "Come on, you two. You could win!" Jimmy and Joan looked at her. "Well," Jimmy said. "You're the last piece of the puzzle, Mrs. Hewitt. That settles it. We'll go." The two prepared quickly, buying tickets to the auditions and getting packed. Soon they were on their way. To their amazement, they ped the auditions and actually got to perform in front of the judges. They were understandably nervous. "I'm so nervous I could swallow the moon in one bite!" Joan shuddered. Jimmy smiled, and made a joke to get her mind off of it. "And the moonbeams will shoot out of your fingers and your toes and the ends of your hair." Joan laughed. "You know just what to say, don't you? Oh well. Here we go..." They got on stage and sung their hearts out. Surprisingly, the criticism did not come from Simon. He actually liked it. It was Paula that disapproved. "You're voices are... well, la dee da. I'm sorry, I just didn't feel any real emotion." Jimmy and Joan left the stage, somewhat depressed. Another contestant, Lucy, smirked at them. "That's it," she gloated. "Out you two pixies go. I'm going to win this." Joan's lower lip trembled; she was not happy at all. Jimmy noticed, stepped forward, and snarled. "Yeah... You won't be smiling when we send you a postcard from Disneyland." The smirk fell from Lucy's face, and she went out to perform. Jimmy comforted Joan. In the end, though, he didn't have to. Lucy got kicked off, and Jimmy and Joan got to keep competing. With luck, and no harsh criticisms from Simon, they'll make it.
