What filing status should we use this year?

My husband has moved out of our house. We usually file married filing jointly, but we are not together (since september) and we have 2 boys, who are with me. I have recently gotten a custody hearing, but that won't be until january. How are we going to file this year? While we were married, I was a stay-at-home mom; now, I am trying to babysit.
