Tips for starting and managing a real life club/group?

I want to start a club for people (my age, around 14-18) who enjoy the same hobby (in this case it's just going to places like the zoo, museums, monuments, etc.). I've never organized anything like this before and I'm wondering where to find ideas about organizing it and making it run smoothly.
