Someone cut me off and..?

Someone cut my off today and I had to swerve out of the way and smashed into and over a 5inch high side walk. my tire burst and my front bumper cracked and got smashed. I ran out of the car because the person going slowly when she looked back and say me trying to get the licence plate for sped off and was gone. I did manage to get her plate numbers etc and called the cops. Can I sue for this?
