Want to record voice and add music onto a cd?

my g/f is a holistic teacher and wants to be able to make a cd for her pupils at college, she wants to be able to talk and add a track of music to it..a relaxation cd, i have lightly gone via a pc but figure there will be too much "tinny" noise so i want to know if i can buy any cd recorder that will enable her to talk through a microphone, play a cd for background music and at same time rescord it onto another cd..
