There is no sound coming out of my laptop,.wmp show that there is snd coming out bcoz visualizations are activ?

here is no sound coming out of my laptop,.wmp show that there is snd coming out bcoz visualizations are active but i can't hear it .the sound icon is also not visible on the system tray but happen to i don't plzzzz help me
